Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Fund Donations

Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds and mutual funds) may have significant tax advantages to the donor.  A gift of stock with long-term gain may entitle you to a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock and is exempt from capital gains tax.  To donate gifts of appreciated securities, please contact Doug Dodd at [email protected].  We want to make every effort to obtain and provide you with the correct information that pertains to your gift and to acknowledge your contribution appropriately.

Traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

IRA holders age 72 or older can donate all or part of their annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from a traditional IRA directly to a qualified charity like All Blessings Flow effectively lowering the donor's adjusted gross income (AGI).  Taxpayers whose annual income affects their Medicare premiums might also find this provision helps control their premium cost.  Consult your financial advisor or brokerage firm for the correct process for making such a gift.  For further details, please contact Doug Dodd at [email protected].
